Mom's Visit

Hello Hello! Well the past two weeks have been very enjoyable for me as I continue to be a lazy bum- ha! I just recently got a part-time job working with 24 hr fitness as both a front desk/childcare center person. It’s not the most professional job of course, but I am looking forward to the young atmosphere/staff and am hoping to make a couple new friends (in addition to the free membership which is always nice!) I won’t start til next week, after I pass a background check (fingers crossed) and endure orientation. I am continuing to seek out a “real” job with actual social work potential…while none have come through yet, I am hopeful and will keep on the hunt.

I spent the last weekend with Mom and it was just absolutely fabulous. With her help, I feel like I actually know and have seen San Diego! Her hotel was perfectly located on the harbor, where we got to explore Seaport Village, see the USS Midway, cruise ships, and the Star of India. However, she was also located right next to ComicCon, which while entertaining, proved to be quite the traffic hazard! Mom and I figured out the trolley system, explored Little Italy and Old Town, had many delicious meals (both Mexican and fresh fish), and of course, spent a lovely afternoon at the Rack! :) It was so nice to get to see her! I am hoping she plans on coming down in another 2-3 weeks!

I have been enjoying my free time by continuing to get closer with my roommates. This week marks the last week with Michelle- it has been quite the treat getting to know her. We think we’ve found a new roommate- but are still in the final processes. Once officially decided I will tell you more about him (and yes, thankfully it is a him- I am looking forward to the balance of 4 females-1 male!). I also went to visit my friend Danielle who is up in Temecula! She is a beautiful mama-to-be and we had a lovely time catching up!

I miss you all and was especially bummed I couldn’t be there to celebrate the many special birthdays this month! Happy Birthday Grandma! Happy Birthday Emily! And Happy ONE YEAR Birthday Olivia! Know that I think of you all often and love you very much!
